The Harry Potter books have meant so much to so many, myself included. They provided a world where we could escape to and feel accepted, and most of all, where love wins! In the past few years the series has become charged with conflict due to JK Rowling’s statements about the trans community. No matter what she says, I hope that fans won’t let it take their joyful magical memories away from them. The peace you found in the friendships, the fight you found that helped you keep going, and the love you found in the chosen families built between the characters and within the fandom…those are real and they are forever yours.
